The 2026 Outdoor Soccer is back at the Blue Quill Community League!
IMPORTANT Actions to take before registration:
Please make sure you have purchased your Blue Quill Membership prior to registering for soccer. You can purchase your membership online here: https://efcl.org/membership-purchase/
Please register online at emsasoccerportal.com beginning February 2, 2026. On time registration ends February 28th, 2026.
After completing registration in the EMSA portal, players must provide the following:
- proof of child’s age (birth certificate, passport or Alberta Health Care card
- proof of address (driver’s license, utility bill or property tax assessment)
- copy of Community League Membership.
Documents can be emailed to: Soccer@BQCL.org or dropped off at the community league drop box labelled ATTN:SOCCER.
- There will be two in person registration dates: Thursday February 12th 5:30-7 PM and Sunday, February 22nd 2-4 PM at the Blue Quill Community League Hall (11304 25 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6J 5B1). This is a good chance to drop off cash/cheques and provide necessary documents. We will also have a few computers on site and help those who require assistance with the online portion of registration.
- Soccer Season is estimated to begin May 1, 2026.
- Volunteer and Uniform Deposits will be collected prior to being placed on a team. Cheques are to be made payable to: Blue Quill Community League with your child’s name/age group included on the cheque. Cheques can be dropped off in the steel mailbox at Blue Quill Community Hall, 11304 25 Ave NW labelled ATTN:SOCCER or one of our in person registrations February 12th 5:30-7 PM or February 22nd 2-4 PM.
- Playing times may be subject to change.
- Game days will be confirmed last week of April, this is orientated information.
- Late registrations, after Feb 28 2026, may not have their request to play with another player accommodated.

Community Soccer additional information:
Volunteer Requirements:
Blue Quill soccer is run entirely by volunteers. Please consider helping out in any capacity. Some key positions we need filled:
Coaches and Assistant Coaches: Soccer couldn’t happen without these dedicated parents! Never coached before or want to brush up on some skills? EMSA offers 3-hour courses at all age levels and SWEMSA will reimburse your course fee with a receipt.
Team Manager: Help the coach manage practice schedules, communication with team players and collect deposits and funds for the program.
Sports Equipment Helpers: Total of 3 positions are need for the season.
Field Lining Helpers: Total of 3 spots available. This role requires you to do field lining a few times per season. The Field Lining Coordinator will train and put together a schedule.
In-Person Registration Helpers: Total of 6 spots (3 for Feb 12th and 3 for Feb 22nd ) available. Please e-mail soccer@bqcl.org with your day preference and positions will be given on a first come basis.
If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer requirements through the soccer season, there will be additional volunteer opportunities for Blue Quill Community League throughout the year. E-mail reminders to those who haven’t completed their volunteer commitment will be sent throughout the year with current opportunities available through the community league. Cheques will be cashed December 31, 2026 if volunteer commitments haven’t been met. You may also opt out of volunteer requirements by choosing to pay the $200 any time instead of the volunteer deposit.

Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued after April 24, 2026. Please note, refunds issued prior to April 24, 2026, will be subject to a costs refund structure from SWEMSA.
