Interesting Facts

311 Requests: The Office of the City Auditor found that there were a total of 6,543,000 311 requests to the City of Edmonton, between 2018 and 2022.
The Annual Bridge Washing Program has a target of 146 bridges to be washed this season, with 123 completed to date.
Potholes: As of August 13, crews have filled 308,823 potholes.
Graffiti Removal: To date, City staff have completed 2,818 locations for graffiti removal.

City Updates

Council and Committee Meetings: Resume on August 21st, 2023. Visit: City of Edmonton website for more information.
Zoning Bylaw Renewal: On October 16th, 2023, the final public hearing will take place for the Zoning Bylaw Renewal Initiative. Please feel free to attend. Register to speak at this public hearing in front of Council.
Mosquito control: City of Edmonton continues with a robust and targeted ground control program to proactively manage the mosquito population and ensure our city parks and outdoor spaces are pleasant, healthy and safe to enjoy. Visit the City website here for more information.
Public Safety Monthly Updates available: Each month since May 2023, EPS, ETS and City Administration provide monthly updates to Council regarding our City’s public safety, including transit safety and community safety. This year, 21 crossing upgrades have come into operation through the Safe Crossings Program. In addition, the City of Edmonton has cleaned approximately 1403 vacant encampments left by people who sleep outdoors, removing approximately 616,204 kg of waste and 1,5321 needles so far in 2023. There are currently 8 vacant encampments awaiting cleanup.
