Despite the steady rain, many people came out to enjoy the activities and meet one another at the second annual Community Day held in Skyrattler Park on June 20th. Those who attended were happy to participate in many events which included a community clean-up and presentations by our councillor Jon Morgan, Edmonton City Police, Edmonton Fire Department, Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch, LEDCOR and a City of Edmonton representative. All were united in our goal of promoting safer, stronger and more connected neighbourhoods. A heartfelt thanks goes out to all these partners who made the spirit of the event truly uplifting. The turnout, the engagement and the sense of connection among residents all spoke to the strength of the Skyrattler Neighbourhood within the Blue Quill community.
A special THANK YOU goes out to Matt and Ashley’s NO FRILLS on 40th avenue for donating the food and beverages. Another shout out goes to LEDCOR for donating 3 canopy tents which sheltered attendees and facilitated our gathering. Thanks also to LEDCOR for donating the draw prize.

A special recognition award presentation by councillor Jon Morgan to Tim Battle for over 10 years of dedication to our community.

LEDCOR and City of Edmonton reps were happy to hand out the latest LRT Capital Line updates.
