We’re excited to have our biggest event of the season! The Blue Quill Community League will be celebrating Community League Day on Sunday, September 20 from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM.
Pancake Breakfast
To start the festivities off, we’re cooking up some delicious pancakes!
- Breakfast: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Blue Quill Bike Parade
Bring your bikes and a big imagination! Kids are invited to join us for a fun community bike parade through Blue Quill.
- Decoration Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Safety Check and group photo: 11:00 AM
- Parade start time: 11:20 AM
- Duration: Approx 20-30 mins 3 KMs
Come early and decorate your bike before the parade. The community will be supplying minimal decorations so please bring any craft materials you have at home to share and contribute to the fun.
Easy and inexpensive materials that can be used:
- Crepe paper
- Streamers
- Balloons
- Cardstock
- Ribbon
- Washi tape
- Painters tape
- Pipe cleaners
- Stickers
- Markers for coloring and decorating signs
- Tape
- Playing cards
KIDS OF ALL AGES ARE WELCOME!!
- Parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to ride along!!
- If your child is not comfortable biking or navigating Blue Quill streets please have an adult accompany them.
- Children with training wheels or balance bikes will require an adult to accompany them.
- Helmets and bells are required by all riders
- Stay with the group as will be riding at a slow and comfortable pace
- No racing or passing
- Follow the parade leader
- Stop when the leader stops
- If someone has a problem the sweep volunteer will assist them.
The official parade map and route will be released at a later date, so stay tuned for more details.
If your home borders the parade route, we encourage you to come outside, wave, cheer and help us celebrate our young bikers as they ride by!!
Pickleball Tournament
Signups to participate in the tournament are live!
We have room for 10 teams of 2 players to play a round robin style tournament. Games will go to 11 points and will be 15 mins in length.
