ATTENTION RESIDENTS: Phase 2 Parking Ban Starts Jan 12The City of Edmonton has declared a Phase 2 Residential Parking Ban beginning Monday, January 12, at 7 a.m. to clear our neighborhood streets.To ensure our roads are cleared safely and efficiently, we need your help! Here is what you need to know:🗓️ When will our street be cleared?While the city-wide ban lasts about 14 days, each individual neighborhood is usually affected for only 72 hours.Check the Map: Visit the Roadways Snow Clearing Map to see when our area is scheduled (gis.edmonton.ca/snow).Watch for Signs: Yellow "No Parking" signs will be placed at neighborhood entrances 24–48 hours before crews arrive.Weekend Pause: The ban will be paused on weekends (Friday at 7 p.m. to Monday at 7 a.m.) to allow for extra parking.🚗 Where should I park?During our scheduled 72-hour window, please move all vehicles off the street and cul-de-sacs. You can park:In your garage or driveway.In the alley.On arterial roads or bus routes (Phase 1 routes) where parking is normally allowed.🚜 What about Windrows?Driveways: Within 4 hours of the plow passing, a skid steer will clear a space about 1.5 car-widths wide at your driveway and at corner crosswalks.Don't get blocked in: If vehicles are left on the street, crews will plow around them, and windrows will not be cleared later.🏫 School Zones & Cul-de-sacsCul-de-sacs: Crews will clear the "neck" of the cul-de-sac first; full clearing by specialized crews will happen after the main Phase 2 ban is finished.School Zones: Clearing is scheduled for weekends starting January 23.Stay Updated: Sign up for address-specific alerts at edmonton.ca/snownotifications to get a text or email 24 hours before your street is cleared!Let’s help the crews get in and out quickly so we can all enjoy safer, clearer roads! ... A Message from the BQCL President

Welcome to the online home of Blue Quill Community League in southwest Edmonton. Our community league represents the neighbourhoods of Blue Quill proper, Skyrattler, Blue Quill Estates and Sweetgrass. There’s a lot going on around the community hall: recreational programs, service organizations, playschool, cultural groups, Enjoy Life church, tennis, basketball, hockey, outdoor skating, playground and more.

In order to keep these activities going, we have a group of volunteers on the community league board. It’s these individuals that ensure the BQCL hall and grounds are maintained and kept busy with activities. If you would like to learn more about getting involved, then please contact the President at president@bqcl.org.

We have increased our online presence and maintain a community Facebook page. We post upcoming events there as well as on our web site. We also have a Twitter account that you can follow: @BlueQuillCL.
